On October 8, 2024, the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference "Phytosanitary Safety under Climate Change. Results and Prospects", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Grape and Fruit Crop Quarantine Research Station of the Institute of Plant Protection of the NAAS, was held in Odesa.
The conference was attended by 17 research and educational organizations. On behalf of the NAAS, Academician of the NAAS and Director of the Institute of Plant Protection Oleksandr Borzykh congratulated the staff of the Grape and Fruit Crop Quarantine Research Station of the Institute of Plant Protection of the NAAS and presented them with Honorary Diplomas and Letters of Appreciation from the Academy. Representatives of the "Biotekhnika" Institute of Wine-making and Viticulture, Odesa State Agrarian University, Odesa Regional Research Station, and the Odesa Branch of the Ukrainian Entomological Society delivered welcoming remarks. Director Yurii Klechkovskyi presented a report on the Station's activities over the 75 years. The report reflected the main problems solved by the Station throughout its long period of operation, highlighted its key achievements, and outlined future prospects. A series of reports was presented by specialists from NUBiP, the State Biotechnological University of Kharkiv, the Ukrainian Research Station of Plant Quarantine of the Institute of Plant Protection of the NAAS, the "Biotekhnika" Institute, and others. Based on the results of the conference, a thematic interdepartmental collection of articles by the conference participants will be published in 2024.
