Monitoring and forecasting

Systematic monitoring of the phytosanitary status of agroecosystems using GPS, GIS and remote sensing. Predictive models for the distribution of major harmful organisms.

Quarantine phytosanitation

Scientific support for the plant quarantine service: phytosanitary risk analysis, detection and diagnosis of adventive organisms, improvement of control measures.

Scientific collections

The entomological collection contains about 10,000 insect species. Collections of phytopathogenic fungi support diagnosis, resistance assessment and artificial infection backgrounds.
