The Institute of Plant Protection is one of the main institutions of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine
Carries out a wide range of research on plant protection and coordinates their implementation in Ukraine.

The Institute of Plant Protection of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (IPP NAAS) was founded in 1946 and is one of the leading scientific research institutions in Ukraine that plays a key role in the development of the nation’s agricultural production. It is the only scientific institution in Ukraine that specializes in plant protection and quarantine and serves as a scientific and methodological center, uniting nearly 20 research institutions and experimental stations located across various agricultural regions of the country. These organizations conduct studies on plant protection in different climatic and soil zones, ensuring a comprehensive and regionally adapted scientific approach.
The Institute oversees two experimental stations and one research farm, which operate as independent legal entities:

At present, the Institute employs 51 researchers, including 8 Doctors of Science (of whom 2 are Academicians and 1 is a Corresponding Member of NAAS) and 29 Candidates of Science (PhD equivalents). Among them are 4 Professors and 21 Senior Researchers.
